True Story: How to Survive a Nasty Divorce when You’re Married to a Smart Divorce Lawyer

Back story

I met a wealthy man at a restaurant who lived in his car who was obviously hitting on me. Cute.

Hmm 🤔…is a man hitting on you when his opening line is “ you are one gorgeous woman!” or is it just an astute observation and he’s just being nice?🤷🏽‍♀️

Anyway…

It is his story I feel compelled to write. Those who follow me already know I haven’t written in months, so you know this one is juicy.

Good Luck

I’m married, I told him.

He smiled, raised his glass and said “good luck!”

I laughed raised my glass in the air and pretended to click his 🥂and said “ cheers to that!”

I was waiting for a friend who is ALWAYS late. So I knew that I just had to order myself a drink and entertain myself.

And

….entertaining myself is something I do incredibly well.

I was looking forward to what was going to happen next.

There’s ALWAYS something. 😆

I guess this good-looking guy sitting next to my table was it. The entertainment started right away when he smiled at me and said “ I got divorced by the worst possible kind of person you could imagine being divorced by”

Feeling the effects of my second drink, and leaning in, I replied through my chuckle “is that good news?”

We simultaneously both got up to sit closer to each other

I think we both knew that we were going to have a good time “waiting.”. …it was meant to be.

I found myself praying that my friend was going to be super duper late.
